Walking down the country road
It is unbelievable but this wonderful place is only 10 minutes drive from my home. And I live in densely populated part of the town. Yes it’s a lucky chance that this part of nature survived. I don’t like jogging I like walking. But walking through streets jammed with vehicles and walking down the country road are different things. As every big city here our town also has a smoke cloud above it. But in this place you take fresh forest air.
Autumn-winter days are short and usually weekends can be used for a walking. Sometimes I invite a friend to share my walk and we have pleasant conversation that nobody can break. But to walk alone is also good. You have a time to think over passed week or plans to the future. Nobody disturb you and your thoughts go smoothly and clearly. My “long” walk is 1 hour 40 minutes long there and back but there is also “short” walk of 40 minutes. “Short” walk I choose mainly when the weather bad is. On my way I meet people on bikes and with their children all delighted to feel themselves out of the town though it is a stone’s throw to their homes.
After walk I feel slightly tired but it is a pleasant feeling. I return home in good mood and with clear head. To have good health you must be in good mood. One depends from the other.
If you have not such a good place at hand you must find one. After a busy week you need and deserve a rest. I am sure you’ll find more fun ways to spend time in “your place” like bike, games and what ever enter your head.
As for me I really like a walk. But recently I heard that our municipal officials decided to build a nice wide road on “my place”. They think it is more important for the town. And though it is strongly prohibited by our laws to build anything in such places as this one and people living here love it much these trivial details usually don’t stop them especially when all this stuff is about big money.
But till now I see myself on my usual road on weekend.
