Today evening I visit my old friend. Yesterday we talked about our meeting and I asked her to make nothing but tea and some fruits. Especially no cake!

And all happened quite the contrary. There was rich and tasty dinner with whipped cream cake for dessert.

That is the end! – thought I. Why everybody wants to feed me when I follow my weight loss program?

Eat only one peace. It is almost nothing!” – says me my friend that never had problems with excess weight. I looked at her dolefully and let her give me a piece of cake…

Actually peace of cake has not many calories in it. But nevertheless it was better not to take it. I know exactly that if I feel the taste of cake in my mouth one piece of cake would be not the limit. It is much harder to refuse from the second piece of cake that from the first one.

Here is only one example of test for your will-power during weight loss program. I can continue the list.

1. Nerves.

People can be divided on two groups in this case – on those who can not get a small piece of food cause of stress and those who eat plenty of food to muffle the stress. If you belong to the second group you must elaborate definite rules of conduct in such situations. Think before to get some food. Can food solve your problems? Most likely not. Problems will remain but excess weight you will gain for sure. Overweight will not up your mood. Try to switch your emotions on other activity. Run upstairs, make any physical exercises. Let your anger and irritation transform into other energy. This way you not gain but lose your weight! Isn’t it good?

2. Foodstuffs.

When you are already a long time follow the diet than any foodstuffs you see occasionally can upset the balance. It can be window of a sweet-shop or foodstuffs on the table of your colleague. When you see it you imagine these foodstuffs in your mouth at the same time.

Well, there is also a way to struggle with it. Take care about snack that you can have under your weight loss program. You must have it at hand during your working day to muffle attractiveness of sweet-shop window. This way you will remain on the “right road”.

3. Hunger.

Following right weight loss program you will not have strong hunger feeling. In many cases after 15-20 minutes it will disappear by itself. The main thing here is to switch your attention on something interesting and captivating. As for me if I constantly want to chew anything that means only that I have no occupation for the moment.

But if hunger feeling nevertheless does not disappear try to drink a glass of yoghurt or rather not drink it but eat with tea spoon – slowly one spoon by one. Enjoy with the taste of yoghurt and you will not want to eat for a long time.

4. People around you.

Let suppose that you already lost some weight. You feel yourself good and you are satisfied with achieved results. But your face looks a bit tired and may be became peaky a bit. It is completely normal and after some time all will be settled. But PEOPLE ARE AROUND YOU! They begin to talk you out of diet. They try to give you some tasty foodstuff and say –”Look at yourself! You look ill. It comes to a bad end.”

Don’t hear them! Try to explain them that it is only short term problem connected with your weight loss program. By the way pay attention how looks the person who says it? Is he/she fat or thin? May be he/she simply doesn’t want that you look better?

5. Misleading argumentation about “breaks”.

It is a common trouble for any weight loss program. Having seen some tasty foodstuff you can not sometimes to stop yourself after 2-3 pieces of it. Yes you eat it all and quick. And where is your firm decision to eat slowly enjoying the taste of foodstuff?

It is not a real trouble. Much worse is to think this way – “Well, I have broken my diet plan. My weight loss program destroyed. It is the end of weight loss hopes!” No! It must not go this way. It is not the case to cancel the whole weight loss program. Hold yourself in hands. Compensate excess calories with additional physical activity.

6. Different excuses.

Here are examples:

I begin from next Monday.

I have no will for that.

My husband/wife is guilty in all this.

I am too busy.

Plenty of reasons can be found that do not let us solve weight loss problems. Existence of so many “reasons” means only that he/she is not ready to solve weight loss problems seriously. Simply his/her time not came yet. The desire to lose excess weight is not so strong in them. But for most of them this time will come.

7. Weakness.

When we feel it we think that the reason is the lack of energy and we must eat something urgently. In many cases it is not so. There is no weakness after fasting day. Quite the contrary you feel sprightliness. You want more activity.

Weakness can be from any other reasons. It can be from lack of sleep. It can be a symptom of any indisposition from cold for example.

By the way remember please. Do you want any activity when you are fed up? May be you want better to lie on the sofa to watch TV? Isn’t it a weakness?

We have got a long list here but it is not the limit. Remember only that on all these you can find counteractions. There is always a possibility to get out any hindrance on your way to weight loss. Do not let weakness to overcome you. Never give up.
