Evening is the most dangerous time for those who want to lose weight. It is well known that metabolism slows down to evening time and becomes very slow during night hours. That is why calories received in the evening have little chance to be burned during few hours till sleep. This excess of calories goes right to add your weight.

There are people that in any case need their breakfast in the morning but can easily control the quantity of foodstuffs eaten in the evening. But there are also people that need no breakfast but close to evening can hardly control their appetite. If you are the latter kind of person then this article is for you.

So in the evening you return home. “Hungry” family is waiting for you to begin with the dinner. Pleasant smell of fresh meal whets your appetite that you struggle the whole day with.

Conclusion: Don’t return home being hungry. You are especially vulnerable this time if you ate little during the day and intervals between food intakes were long.

You must not be hungry the whole day. Take small portions of meal every 3-4 hours. Have 1-2 snacks between breakfast and lunch. For snacks suit low-cal foodstuffs. It can be apples, yoghurt, fresh salad, curd, tomatoes and cucumbers. Look only that quantity of calories would not exceed 150 calories.

For lunch will suit good foodstuffs that contain slowly digested proteins. Those are white chicken meat or not fat fish. This meal will keep you feel no hunger longer. It does not mean of course that you will not want to eat completely but your appetite will be considerably lower.

The only look of preparing meal can whet the appetite. If you try one piece during cooking than another one you will not even notice that you are already eating and additional calories will fill your stomach!

Conclusion: Draw away your attention that not to eat to much at that moment. It is good if you have something in your mouth. It can be chewing gum, some green, piece of apple. Don’t eat standing cause you may take and eat all foodstuffs that are at hand.

At last home business is done. You played with children helped them with lessons and sent them to bed. Now it is time when you belong only to yourself. You want to indulge yourself. Don’t refuse. Have a small snack that you like with a cap of fruit tea and clean your teeth after that. That would mean that it is enough for today.

    Definitely evenings are the worst part for any dieter. In my case I try to be busy, right now I’m occupied by my blog or doing any kind of research, sometimes I ate a few cashews and I always drink water, but I believe that you must have lots of willpower until you get used to. This is one of those questions that doesn’t have any straight answer.

    I loved the article on the dangers of eating late. I think people forget that in order for the body to renew itself, it shuts down in the evening making it dangerous to eat late. But sleep is also a time for the body to regenerate, which is why a good night’s sleep is especially important to those trying to lose weight.
