<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-indent: 27pt"><span lang="EN-US">I am very upset when I read about health problems resulted from wrong diets and about psychological problems of people following weight loss programs. The same feelings I have when I see articles such as “Two pills will solve your excess weight problems forever”.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-indent: 27pt"><span lang="EN-US">In different weight loss articles you may read the main points how to grow thin. Here I want to share with you my own weight loss secrets that help me to follow weight loss program without “breaks”. I hope they will be useful for you too.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-indent: 27pt"><span lang="EN-US">Now we begin.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-indent: 27pt"><span lang="EN-US">Alarm clock rings. I hear it but don’t open the eyes. I lie some time pampering myself in the bed. The main point here is not to go too far cause I will gladly sleep again. After that I up my hands and feel how at first slow and then faster and faster the blood goes through the vessels. I down my hands and stretch left leg if it becomes longer a bit. Slowly return it back. Then it is turn of the right leg. At this time sleep vanishes in to the thin air. My whole body is awake. I get up and gently say myself – “It’s nice!”</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-indent: 27pt"><span lang="EN-US">I go to the kitchen and do our simple breakfast. I like this cares and it makes me smile. In the bathroom I wash my face with cool water look at my sleepy face and say myself - “It’s nice!” no matter like I reflection in the mirror today or not. Now it’s time to wake up others. After breakfast I see to the door my son and husband – one to the school the other to work.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-indent: 27pt"><span lang="EN-US">Now it’s time to work myself. I am sitting a lot in front of computer screen during a day. Simple exercises help me in my sedentary life. I do my exercises every time when remember that it is time to do them or when my neck remind me about it. Usually</span><span lang="EN-US"> </span><span lang="EN-US">it</span><span lang="EN-US"> </span><span lang="EN-US">takes</span> 5-10 <span lang="EN-US">minutes</span><span lang="EN-US"> </span><span lang="EN-US">every</span><span lang="EN-US"> </span><span lang="EN-US">hour</span>.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-indent: 27pt"><span lang="EN-US">Sometimes I get annoyed without reason and can not concentrate on work. Then I get a break in my work and turn away from the computer. I up my hands and bend myself from one side to another. I think about something except work and smile saying – “Everything is OK”. After</span><span lang="EN-US"> </span><span lang="EN-US">some</span><span lang="EN-US"> </span><span lang="EN-US">minutes</span><span lang="EN-US"> </span><span lang="EN-US">I</span><span lang="EN-US"> </span><span lang="EN-US">am</span><span lang="EN-US"> </span><span lang="EN-US">again</span><span lang="EN-US"> </span><span lang="EN-US">ready</span><span lang="EN-US"> </span><span lang="EN-US">to</span><span lang="EN-US"> </span><span lang="EN-US">work</span>.  <span lang="EN-US" /></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-indent: 27pt"><span lang="EN-US">When I feel slight weariness or some discomfort it means that it’s time for a snack. Usually it happens at 11-11:30 am. At this time I get something not allowed by my weight loss regime but tasty. It can be a sandwich with cheese or sausage or a bun. I am sure that my brain activity will burn it completely without any harm to my body till lunch. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-indent: 27pt"><span lang="EN-US">Again it’s time to work with “exercise breaks”. Exercises make blood goes faster and my brains work better. Lunch time for me is 2-2:30 pm. My main rule – If I have a small cutlet then I take a green salad (cucumber, tomato dressed with olive oil) for a garnish. For chicken or ham I choose cabbage or vegetable marrow. I eat without hurry and with pleasure complementing the cook (cause it is me) for dishes. </span>“<span lang="EN-US">OK</span>! <span lang="EN-US">It’s nice!” - I smile myself. Half an hour later a cup of tea will be good.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-indent: 27pt"><span lang="EN-US">Before the end of working day I have a snack. But now it has strictly no carb foodstuffs. More often I have pair pieces of cheese, some not fat curd, yoghurt, apples or something like this. I</span><span lang="EN-US"> </span><span lang="EN-US">make</span><span lang="EN-US"> </span><span lang="EN-US">my</span><span lang="EN-US"> </span><span lang="EN-US">exercises</span>. <span lang="EN-US">Here stretching is good. Why my head can not band to this damned knee? I</span><span lang="EN-US"> </span><span lang="EN-US">never</span><span lang="EN-US"> </span><span lang="EN-US">can</span><span lang="EN-US"> </span><span lang="EN-US">do</span><span lang="EN-US"> </span><span lang="EN-US">it</span>! <span lang="EN-US">Or</span><span lang="EN-US"> </span><span lang="EN-US">may</span><span lang="EN-US"> </span><span lang="EN-US">be I</span><span lang="EN-US"> </span><span lang="EN-US">can</span>? <span lang="EN-US">Today</span><span lang="EN-US"> </span><span lang="EN-US">it</span><span lang="EN-US"> </span><span lang="EN-US">seems</span><span lang="EN-US"> </span><span lang="EN-US">that I</span><span lang="EN-US"> </span><span lang="EN-US">did</span><span lang="EN-US"> </span><span lang="EN-US">it</span><span lang="EN-US"> </span><span lang="EN-US">better</span><span lang="EN-US"> </span><span lang="EN-US">than</span><span lang="EN-US"> </span><span lang="EN-US">yesterday</span>. <span lang="EN-US">Yes, sure. – I smile and complement myself for having will and persistence to follow the chosen lifestyle.</span></p>

Others have strong “psychological bondage” from food. These people often eat when they are not even really hungry. They simply try to muffle their problems with the meal. But this way problems remained unsolved and only excess weight problem is added.</span></p>

After some time you become tired from all “dietetic foodstuffs”. You will want something not dietetic but tasty. You will not want to look at apples, curd, boiled meat. And here you may break your weight loss program for day, two days and even for several weeks.</span></p>

<p style="text-indent: 18pt" class="MsoNormal"><strong><span lang="EN-US">Conclusion:</span></strong><span lang="EN-US"> Not to feel strong hunger you must limit carbohydrates consumption. You must not refuse from them completely cause they are in many fruits and vegetables reach with vitamins and cellulose we need. You must limit only high-carb foodstuffs such as sugar, flour, potatoes.</span></p>
<p style="text-indent: 18pt" class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US">Wonderful! All problems are solved! You have next day nice soup from cauliflower. But to the end of the day you feel that you need something. At least small peace of bread. The second day you do not want cauliflower at all and feel yourself flat-out.  </span></p>
<p style="text-indent: 18pt" class="MsoNormal"><strong><span lang="EN-US">Conclusion:</span></strong><span lang="EN-US"> Simply to limit carbohydrates is not the way. Not to feel yourself flat-out you need protein. We move, our muscles work and need protein!</span></p>

So the way to grow thin is to decrease consumption of high-calorie foodstuffs. It looks very simple. You can eat only vegetables all the days and drink mineral water or fresh juices. If it is so easy then why to get rid of excess weight is a so difficult problem? </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-indent: 18pt"><span lang="EN-US">The answer is that now on people are civilized creatures and foodstuffs are not a question of life or death for them already. Foodstuffs are the question of taste now. It is not easy for adult person to change his/her tastes and substitute smoked sausage with carrot and Big Mac with cucumber. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-indent: 18pt"><span lang="EN-US">Tasty meal is a pleasure. And it is very difficult to refuse from any pleasure. So looking sadly in the mirror we can not force ourselves to eat not salted rice.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-indent: 18pt"><span lang="EN-US">It looks like vicious circle. Following a weight loss program we feel deprived in something very pleasant. That is the reason of bad mood of people trying to lose weight. And when this feeling come to high point we have a “break” in weight loss program. It can lasts during weeks eliminating all efforts we did. Some people have the state of “diet/break” during years. I call them “losing weight for ever”.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-indent: 18pt"><span lang="EN-US">Weight loss program that will not lead to depression is not a simple choice of some foodstuffs. It is a lifestyle above all. You must AGREE to it. It must be COMFORTABLE for you. You must like it and choose it knowingly.</span></p>

But if your goal is to lose 20-30kg (30-60lb) and to maintain normal weight after that then you can not manage without changing many of things. You must change your lifestyle and reconsider attitude to your nutrition.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-indent: 18pt"><span lang="EN-US">It is a very serious step. It demands that you reconsider some values. The pleasure from meal must become not so high value as it was for you. This process can take not days but months. Your goal is to change foodstuffs one by one to create your own balanced diet you can follow easily. There will be a place for pleasure in it for sure that you can follow it long. You must create not weight loss program but healthy and pleasant lifestyle.</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-indent: 18pt"><span lang="EN-US">1. Don’t eat food that may leave your children.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-indent: 18pt"><span lang="EN-US">2. Remember that tasting a meal during cooking you get lots of calories. Use advises of professional cooks who never swallow tasted meal but even rinse their mouth with water after that!</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-indent: 18pt"><span lang="EN-US">3. You have two ways to keep your good health and slim figure. First – your whole family must have healthy and balanced nutrition. It is a good way if somebody in your family also has excess weight problems. Second – follow alone healthy and balanced nutrition if members of your family refuse to follow it. In this case you must check how many calories you consume and carefully choose foodstuffs you use. You must think over in advance what foodstuffs you buy for yourself. Remember that you must like foodstuffs you buy for yourself. You fail if you try to stuff yourself with the meal you don’t like. You</span><span lang="EN-US"> </span><span lang="EN-US">must</span><span lang="EN-US"> </span><span lang="EN-US">like</span><span lang="EN-US"> </span><span lang="EN-US">dishes</span><span lang="EN-US"> </span><span lang="EN-US">you</span><span lang="EN-US"> </span><span lang="EN-US">eat</span>. <span lang="EN-US">Nobody will eat meal he/she dislikes during long time. </span></p>

You must choose carefully your way of cooking and nutrition to get rid of excess weight and after that keep it normal. It is well known that just kidneys suffer from medicaments and bad foodstuffs. You must maintain your kidneys using such excellent natural resources as cranberry, red whortleberry, strawberry and dog-rose. You can do tasty nice drinks from these berries.</span></p>
